Reminiscing on how my guitar building passion started. I can clearly see now the frustration which at first turned me away from the guitar years ago. The disappointment of not being a good enough player - a jealousy that did not let me even listen to guitar music. Luckily all this could not live buried in me, so a few years later it resurfaced as a new, cleaner and healthier obsession in the instrument - it's construction and it's sound, in building acoustic chambers with a vibrant top pumping against the sound waves just so, that the guitar can vibrate and almost move and come alive while being played.
This is what I strive for these days - making guitars which have this quality, guitars which have volume, tone and presence, good separation of individual notes in a chord, tonal attack and sustain, balance between high and low notes, and all this through the entire range of the fret board with a very comfortable action.
